Visitors can also explore medieval cuisine through studying objects and ingredients found in a medieval pantry, recipes, and discovering different scents.

This permanent museum exhibition in the small hall evokes the sense of mystery of the mountain, and is the backdrop for storytelling about Medvednica. With a backdrop with elements of the enchanted forest – fairies, forest and natural elements, and using the installation titled “Shadow Theater”, a masked guide will tell visitors various tales – about the Black Queen, fairies, and other folk tales.

In a smaller room in the middle hall, visitors will experience the smells of medieval cuisine and learn about it through ingredients and items found in a medieval pantry. They will also learn some old recipes that they will be able to take home with them.
